Travel Agent: Mary Nicol

I’ve been a travel agent with AAA for over 13 years and have planned more than 2,500 trips. My background in sales and love for travel led me to this career by chance—but it quickly became my passion.

I specialize in planning travel to Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe—particularly France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. My areas of expertise include river and ocean cruises, guided tours, luxury travel, and family vacations. I have also personally enjoyed countless Disneyland getaways and love sharing tips from my own experiences to help families make the most of their trip.

Some of my favorite travel experiences are river cruising through Europe, exploring Alaska, and diving into WWII history in France. Italy is at the top of my personal bucket list—I’d love to follow in my father’s footsteps and see where he was born. One hidden gem I often recommend is the Alsace region along the French-German border. It’s rich in culture, history, and charm—without the big crowds.
